I’ve got some more MA portrait photography to share with you. I had the pleasure of doing some senior photos for one of Amherst Media’s interns, Patrice, who is graduating from UMass Amherst this Spring. Patrice has been interning with us since last fall and she’s been a great addition to the team. If you follow me on Facebook, you may have seen me post about a show that she and her friend Hillary produce called Holiday Fun With Hillary. They’ve put together several episodes packed with all kinds of holiday themed crafting ideas. I would definitely recommend checking it out.
Patrice also brought me a fabulous bag with chocolates for my birthday, which happened to be the day that we had scheduled her shoot. I tried my darnedest to keep my birthday quiet around the office, but by noon, pretty much everyone knew. Haha! Here’s a not so great cell phone photo of some of the gifts I received. The fuzzy pink bag is from Patrice. You could see it from a mile away. She also gave me a great marching band themed card, which I don’t have a photo of at the moment, but it was a great card that I’ll probably have to frame and hang on my wall because it was just that awesome.
In case you’re wondering what the rest of the stuff is, my co-worker, Diana, gave me those beautiful flowers and one of my other co-workers, Ari, got me a hot chocolate. I had given him $5 to get me one and at some point before he left to go get it, word had spread to him that it was my birthday, so I got the hot chocolate and my $5 back. Haha!
Anyway, back to the focus of this post. I had a great session with Patrice. We shot on the second floor of our building, which is empty and has an abandoned look to it. It’s a great space for photos with lots of large windows and I’ll gladly take any opportunity I have to shoot up there. We also took the opportunity to have a little fun with bathroom. You’ll see those shots below too because, well, why not? Alright, without further ado, I present Patrice.
