As always, it’s been some time since I’ve posted an update, but I’ve got some more MA Event Photography for you! You may recall my post last year about Field Day with the Nashoba Valley Amateur Radio Club (NVARC). I’ve since gotten pretty involved with the Billerica Amateur Radio Society (BARS) club. The club is in the rebuilding stages, so I’m working hard to get the word out about the club.
That being said, if you’re a Ham, young or old, and live in the Billerica area, come check us out. If you’re not a Ham, but you’re thinking about getting your license, come check us out anyway. We also offer monthly VE sessions! We’re a pretty cool club with lots of friendly folks. Our meetings take place every first Wednesday of the month at 7 pm at the Chelmsford Bible Church. You can also join club members for breakfast on Saturday mornings at Stelio’s in Billerica.
Enough of my plugs for the club meetings and what not. You came here for Field Day photos, right? Well, I can do one better. This year, I also gathered some behind the scenes video and compiled that into a short highlight piece. Check out the photos and video below and if you want to know more about the club, head over to the BARS website or give us a “like” on Facebook.
By the way, if you’re around this Tuesday evening, be sure to check out Amateur Radio Roundtable at 9pm EST on http://w5kub.com/. We were asked for permission to show the BARS Field Day 2017 video on this week’s program and we didn’t hesitate to give them the go ahead!
Of course, I couldn’t go through Field Day weekend without visiting my friends at NVARC. They really spruced up the back tent this year!
